WhiteSand Gaming President and CEO Saverio Scheri was a featured speaker on the industry’s most important session, Wireless Cybersecurity: Protecting Technology that Saves Lives and specifically highlighted exposures of casino resorts wireless networks, security, and perimeter surveillance.

His presentation at the International Wireless Communications Expo on Wednesday, March 26, focused on the weaknesses that exist in casino security and technology, most recently highlighted by the hacking of Las Vegas Sands’ computer systems and networks. “Casino are a soft target that are in the cross-hairs of nefarious individuals that want to steal money, steal customer data, steal company data or cause great harm to human life. The range of impact could be so high that it would devastate the casino industry” said Scheri.

IWCE 2014 was attended by over 6000 security, technology and communications experts.
